What have we been up to since the launch of the website. I am pleased to announce that I was elected Vice President of the RIMQG (Rhode Island Modern Quilt Guild) an affiliate of the MQG (Modern Quilt Guild). We meet on the first (sometimes second) Saturday of the month @ 2 pm.

2013

I was an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Specialist by day, quilter by night. Now, I am a shop owner by Day and “where will I ever find time to quilt again” by night

I embarked on a mission to open my own quilt shop. Crazy, no… Ambitious, yes.

Here I will enter a world of technology that I am unfamiliar with, create my first blog, search for a location for my shop, open the shop (April 12, 2026), move the shop in the first month after opening (April 2014)! I am already wearing a couple dozen different job hats! You will find our shop to be happy and fun, no quilt police here (only when it comes to copyright, and actual real legal stuff!). You never know what “antics” I will be up to, be it a sale, game, game to get a sale, etc. and I try to treat everyone like I have none them forever. If you come in and find me distracted, in bad spirits, down on the day or disgruntled by something, feel free to cheer me up or give me a Gibbs (NCIS reference - I doubt it will need to come to this, the cheer will most likely work fine). I will do the same for you (minus the Gibbs part, of course), because that’s what Peeps are for!

Dragonfly’s gets its name from my dear departed Dad, Ernest George LeBlanc, Jr. RIP my love.

Our official website launch was on January 31, 2013. If anyone has any small business start-up advise, please feel free to post it, or join my blog.
